Kashmiri Mirch
This is the true Kashmir chilli pepper and is native to the northern most state of India and is very much in demand for its bright crimson colouring, that it imparts to the cooking process.
The Kashmir chilli (Kashmir Mirch) is in so much demand that there is usually not enough total annual crop, to go round, and fake Kashmiri chillis are passed off in its place.
The true Kashmiri chilli is a deep crimson with a smooth, shiny, thin skin It is about 5 cm long by 2.5 cm wide and has a nice fruity flavour.
Heat level is medium.
